  • Are you part of a chain or franchise?

Nope, there is only one Saigon Taste! We are a locally owned, independent restaurant based right here in Wellington. Any other places with a similar name are not affiliated with us.

  • Do you offer vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?

Yes! We have a range of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, and several are made vegan. Check out our vegetarian menu.

Just let our staff know your preferences or dietary needs.

  • Can I make a reservation, or group bookings?

Yes, we do take reservations — especially recommended for larger groups or weekend nights. You can call us or book through email.

  • Do you offer takeaway or delivery?

Yes! You can order takeaway directly with us, and we’re also available on popular delivery platforms Uber Eats, DeliverEasy, and DoorDash!

  • Is your food authentic Vietnamese

Yes, our recipes are rooted in tradition and inspired by our heritage. Our chefs, Hung and Nga, bring generations of Vietnamese home cooking and street food culture to every dish.

  • Are your dishes spicy?

Vietnamese food is all about balance — not all of our dishes are spicy. Spicy dishes are indicated by a chilli pepper on our menu.

If you’re not sure, just ask our staff for guidance.

  • Where are you located?

We're located at 17 Majoribanks Street, Mt. Victoria, Wellington.

Find us near the Wellington Embassy Theatre.

  • Do you have parking?

We don’t have allocated parking, but there are several options nearby:

    • 15-minute free parking is available directly outside our restaurant — perfect for quick pickups or takeaway orders.
    • Metered parking is available across the street and further down toward Roxburgh Street.
    • Coupon parking (2 hours free) is also available within a short walk — great if you're staying for a meal.
    • Paid Carpark with Wilson Parking is on Lipman Street.
    • Mount Victoria street parking can fill up quickly, especially during peak times, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead.

We recommend giving yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot, especially on busy evenings.

  • How do I reheat my pho properly?

Great question! For the best pho experience at home, we recommend keeping the noodles and broth separate until you're ready to eat. Here's how to reheat it for maximum freshness:

Broth: Heat the broth in a pot on the stove until it’s piping hot (almost boiling). You can also microwave it in a heat-safe bowl for a few minutes.

Noodles: If they’ve clumped together, rinse them briefly under warm water to loosen them up.

To serve: Place the noodles in a bowl, add your protein and herbs, then pour the hot broth over the top. This helps reheat everything gently and preserves the fresh flavor and texture.

This method keeps your pho tasting almost as good as when it first leaves our kitchen!
